Anthera Pharmaceuticals Receives GACP Certification
Anthera Pharmaceuticals announces that, on July 3, 2025, the company was awarded Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP) certification by Q-CERT for its cultivation and post-harvest activities.
The certification confirms compliance with Q-CERT’s Q-GACP scheme, based on the European Medicines Agency (EMA) guideline for starting materials of herbal origin, and covers the full scope of operations including cultivation, harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, and primary and secondary packaging of dried cannabis flower .
The certification was granted following a successful audit conducted in June 2025, at the company’s facility in Skoutela, Ancient Corinth, Greece .
This milestone confirms that Anthera Pharmaceuticals’ cultivation and post-harvest processes are implemented under controlled, standardized, and fully traceable conditions, aligned with European pharmaceutical expectations for herbal starting materials.
The achievement of GACP certification represents a key step in the company’s vertically integrated model, establishing a robust foundation for the production of pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis products and supporting its ongoing EU-GMP certification pathway.
