Anthera Receives EU-GMP Certification

Anthera Pharmaceuticals announces that, on January 22, 2026, the company was granted EU Good Manufacturing Practice (EU-GMP) certification by the competent authority of Greece, following a successful inspection of its manufacturing facilities.

The certification confirms that the company complies with the principles and guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice as laid down in Directive (EU) 2017/1572, ensuring that its manufacturing operations meet the required pharmaceutical quality standards .

The approved scope includes the manufacture of cannabis-based medicinal products, including dried flower and oil for oral use, as well as primary and secondary packaging and quality control testing (microbiological and chemical/physical) .

This milestone marks a significant advancement in the development of Anthera Pharmaceuticals, completing the transition to a fully EU-GMP compliant operation and enabling the company to supply pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis products to regulated international markets.
